Overweight and excessive sweating
Overweight and excessive sweating are significant symptoms often associated with sleep apnea, a condition that disrupts breathing during sleep. Individuals with excess weight, particularly around the neck and abdomen, have a higher risk of developing obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), as excess fat can constrict the airways, making it difficult for air to flow freely. This leads to frequent breathing pauses, resulting in oxygen deprivation during sleep. Additionally, excessive sweating, or night sweats, is commonly reported by those with sleep apnea.
